Essay Competition 2009-2010

Entries are closed for 2009 competition .The Last date for submission was : Feb 15th, 2010 

CognoBytes conducted 2 essay competitions with the aim of enriching people with more knowledge about Cognition.

Comment

Thank you for the wonderful response and seriously, I am astonished to receive so many entries from so varied people. Thank you all.

However, many essays did not address the exact question. I will put up what I was looking for after the results are declared; but, it was lovely to see the attempts to write about these puzzling things.

I think we have just started to reach Cognitive Sc to you'll- and that is what my aim is.

The participants belonged to two categories: SCHOOL (For those who are currently enrolled in a school and have not passed standard 12th)
and OPEN (For those who have passed standard 12th school examination). There is no upper age limit for OPEN category.
The Essay competition is an initiative by CognoBytes to provide a platform for people to come and share their views, in the process know about Cognitive Science. 


Essay Competition for School (Category: SCHOOL)

Topic :
How would you explain what is study of mind/brain to someone's grandparents?
OR
Imagining you are a cockroach, describe a human.

The competition is open for all school students who have not passed std 12th.
  



     Essay Competition for Others (Category: OPEN)

      Topic :
      Why do we do what we do?
        OR
      Imagining you do not have consciousness, describe how would be a day in your life.

      The competition is open for all school students who have passed std 12th.




Important Dates:
Results will be published online here on : March 15th, 2010

Note : Watch this space for the next competition for 2010 which we will declare in around April.
